Hao-Tong Li is 21 years old and plays on the European Tour. Part of being that young on tour means your mom gets to join you.
So when Li threw his putter into the water after a frustrating hole, his mother went in to get it.
Li’s fellow competitors clearly loved it.
Li hasn’t commented on this, but it has to be an interesting mixture of funny and embarrassing. And with his putter out of service, Li finished the round with his sand wedge, and it didn’t go particularly well.
So here’s a life lesson: If you throw your putter in the water, it’s probably going to hurt your game, but at least your mom will be there to help.
