Lexie Vaught of the Division 2 Drury Lady Panthers lost her shoe mid-game, but dammit, she wasn’t going to let that impede her effort on the court.

As you can see, Vaught got tangled up on a crossover by a Rockhurst guard, losing her shoe in the process. After falling to the ground, Vaught attempted to get up and hustle back to defend as her slippery sock sidelined her. Finally, once she managed to navigate past center court, the Lady Panthers got the ball back and passed to Vaught, who was unintentionally cherry picking.

Unfortunately, she suffered the same result due to the missing shoe, flailing to catch the ball and getting dragged down by the slippery floor.

Three falls in 14 seconds is tough. But credit Vaught for not laying on the court or going to pick up her shoe instead of returning to live action. She’s a true competitor in my opinion, unlike former Raptors guard Jarrett Jack, who decided to tie his shoes during the middle of a game.

Vaught’s made the lowlight reel with the multiple spills, but her effort should be commended, even if it failed spectacularly. It’s why the Lady Panthers beat Rockhurst by more than 50 points. Vaught finished with nine points, five rebounds, three falls, and one temporarily lost shoe.
