Bartolo Colon should honestly pitch until the sun explodes, but watching the big man pitch another year might be good enough.

The newly minted All-Star apparently wants to pitch another season, whether it’s with the Mets or not. With the inconsistency and now the injuries that have hampered the Mets starting rotation this season, Colon’s consistency has been welcomed and needed. He currently is posting 3.28 ERA, 1.55 BB/9 in 98 and 2/3 innings this season. He will be a free agent at the end of the season and is currently making $7.25 million.

And of course, there’s always the home run he hit earlier this season in San Diego, which is not only timeless but one of the best moments in recent baseball history. So, we should celebrate the news that Big Sexy may well be coming back for more by watching the home run many, many times.
