The Milwaukee Brewers walloped the St. Louis Cardinals 11-3 on Thursday night, and it didn’t take long for things to get embarrassing for the Cardinals.

In the bottom of the first, Milwaukee slugger Jesus Aguilar cranked a flyball to deep left-center field. St. Louis left fielder Marcell Ozuna thought the ball was going to land over the wall, so he climbed the wall in an effort to rob a home run.

Small problem: The ball didn’t go that far, and landed below Ozuna. He awkwardly tried to reach for the ball while sitting at the top of the wall, and whiffed, resulting in a two-run double for Aguilar.

That’s a pretty brutal misread, and summarized how things went for St. Louis on the night.
