Even with the Indians holding a 68-year World Series title drought, the Cubs have waited more than 50 percent longer. Thus Cubs fans are about 1.5 times more excited about Game 7, or something like that. (I’m a journalist, but the math seems to check out.)
The Indians are hosting Game 7 at Progressive Field, but there are tons of Cubs fans in attendance. Some eyeball estimates even have Cubs fans outnumbering Indians fans.
A few friends at Progressive Field say Cubs jerseys are outnumbering Indians jerseys inside and outside the stadium.

SRO ticket line this morning was filled with Cub gear. Just strolled the concourse. I'd say right now this place is about 30-35% Cubs fans.

In case you couldn’t see it, there was audio evidence of the Cubs fanbase’s large presence when the stadium roared after Dexter Fowler led off the game with a solo home run.
Dexter Fowler leads off with a home run that just makes it over the wall in center. And there are a LOT of Cubs fans here.

There are SO many Cubs fans here. And they all just lost their damn minds.

Upper deck above the press box is full of Cubs fans….loud ones

So either way, about half of the fans in attendance will be going nuts in a few hours while the other half cries.
