David Ortiz has been given many gifts across this season as it is his last in Major League Baseball. Most of those gifts are those from the cities in which he’s been traveling too as expected, but this latest gift he’s received probably will blow all of the others out of the water.

At the Davis Mega Maze, a corn maze in Sterling, Massachusetts, a likeness of Big Papi has been carved out along with the words, “Thanks Big Papi”. This whole ordeal was undertaken with the help of ’47. He was on hand for the grand opening on Tuesday, and even he was blown away by what he saw.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Ortiz said after seeing the maze for the first time. “It was something that seemed impossible to me to do, but when I started seeing the picture and stuff, I was like ‘Wow, what an amazing job.’ ”

I hope that one day in my life I’m successful and influential enough to have a likeness of myself carved out in a corn maze somewhere. I think that’s a reasonable goal to strive for. I’m nowhere near Big Papi levels of popular, though.
