Now that David Ross has won the Commissioner’s Trophy, he’s got his sights set on another piece of hardware, the elusive Mirrorball Trophy.

Dancing with the Stars announced its cast of the upcoming 24th season on Wednesday morning. Among the group of B-list celebrities is the former Chicago Cubs catcher, gymnast Simone Biles, running back Rashad Jennings, and former figure skater Nancy Kerrigan.

Appearing on Good Morning America, Ross admitted he’s taking on the challenge to stay in shape.

Anthony Rizzo stopped by to give his former teammate the important advice “try not to suck.”

Rounding out the cast is a slew of forgotten actors and singers. SNL alum Chris Kattan, Glee star Heather Morris, bull-rider Bonner Bolton, The Bachelor star Nick Viall and freaking Mr. T fill out this season’s cast. You can find the entire list of competitors here.

Naturally, joining Dancing with the Stars is the next step in Ross’ quest to remain relevant, following the announcement that he’ll play one game for the Harlem Globetrotters.. Ascending from suitable backup catcher to folk hero in Chicago was ridiculously overplayed. It’s ripe material to be jammed down audiences throats on DWTS.

Athletes like Ross will have to bring it on DWTS, as the reigning champion is Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez. Before Hernandez, you’d have to go all the way back to season 18 to find an athlete winner, as figure skater Meryl Davis captured the Mirrorball Trophy.

So, for those clamoring to see Ross and Mr. T dance the tango, great news. For everyone else, we’re left wondering how the hell it’s already the 24th season of a show that debuted less than 12 years ago. Reality TV is an endless cycle.
