Fans of the Detroit Tigers not only have a chance to buy some Tigers tickets, but also add to their vinyl collection. They have White Stripes lead singer and guitarist Jack White to thank for that.

White, who has a burning passion for both baseball and vinyl, is releasing a single by a group called The Dugouts. The only way to get your hands on that exclusive single will be to buy a ticket package from the Detroit Tigers. Those who do pick up a ticket package will receive a seven-inch vinyl single to add to their vinyl collection. On the other side of the vinyl single is an interview conducted by White with Tigers fan-favorite Kirk Gibson.

It definitely sounds like a fun keepsake for Tigers fans, especially for anyone who has a passion to rebuild or start a brand new vinyl collection. Vinyl may not be the preferred medium for today’s music fans, but there is a renewed love for the old medium that continues to have an audience to serve. Netflix recently announced it was releasing the soundtrack to Stranger Things on vinyl (and cassette).

White is not the first Michigan native music artist to rekindle a former vehicle for music enjoyment either. Eminem released a 15th-anniversary cassette of The Eminem Show.
