Oakland A’s slugger Khris Davis met with some kids thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation before Monday night’s game against the Texas Rangers. And one of those young fans, Anthony Slocumb, even signed Davis’ game jersey.
This time, Khris gets the souvenir. 💚💛#RootedInOakland pic.twitter.com/cbaZkfSi6O

Well, Davis put that autographed jersey to good use, and “Khrushed” his 37th homer of the year. The ball landed in rare territory at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum. Check out this bomb:

Khris Davis hit one into the luxury box window. Is that really only 438 feet? That thing was smashed. #KHRUSH #RootedInOakland pic.twitter.com/3gfHmQDDnU

Khris Davis' latest homer will likely land on another planet. That's No. 37.

The scorching hot A’s currently have a 7-0 lead in the game, as they look to improve to 75-50. Oakland would be tied for first place in the AL West with a win and an Astros loss.
Update: Here’s some more good stuff on Khris Davis and Anthony Slocumb.
Khris Davis on wearing the autographed jersey in game: "I wanted to rock that. I wanted him to know that I was thinking about him."
"Thought maybe it would mean something if I had my jersey signed by him, just to know what that feels like to be in my shoes for a split second."

10-year-old Anthony Slocumb asked Khris Davis for an autograph.
The A's slugger asked for one back, then hit a mighty home run.
