Remember that cart that broke into Marlins Park and made himself at home on the stadium’s home run sculpture? That stray cat now has a new home, although it is not one with a giant home run structure. An employee of the Miami Marlins has taken on the responsibility of taking the loose cat home.

A cat ran along the outfield wall in the middle of a game against the Atlanta Braves, climbing up the fence in front of a digital scoreboard just in front of the home run statue before finding a comfortable spot to catch its breath.

It just so happened that the cat ran across the outfield on National Pet Day. This is truly a story that could not have been scripted any other way.
