It appeared Yankees rookie sensation Aaron Judge had blasted his 28th home run of 2017 on Thursday night, when he sent a flyball to deep left-center field at Guaranteed Rate Field.

White Sox left fielder Melky Cabrera looked up into the stands as though the ball had landed over the fence, and the Yankees’ radio and television announcers both it was gone.

But, it turned out that Melky was fooling everyone, and he revealed a few seconds later that the ball was in his glove.

This is excellent trolling from Cabrera, and it especially got to Yankees TV play-by-play man Michael Kay:

It’s hard to tell if that would’ve been a home run, but it would’ve at least been extra bases. And in what ended up being a one-run victory (4-3 for the White Sox, that’s obviously a huge play in the game.

It was that kind of night for the Yankees, who also lost promising rookie Dustin Fowler to a season-ending ruptured patella tendon before he even got to have his first major-league plate appearance.
