The MLB All-Star Game is officially way better when it doesn’t count. Because when it doesn’t count, we get Nelson Cruz asking Yadier Molina to take his picture with infamous veteran umpire Joe West.
Cruz pulled out his phone and asked a dumbfounded Molina and West for a picture.
Cruz spoke to Fox’s Ken Rosenthal about the photo. He said that he wanted to take advantage of a rare opportunity to bring his phone onto the field and that he’s “a big fan of Joe.”
According to Cruz, Molina was all for the idea, but West wasn’t a fan at first.
The picture turned out pretty good!
