The Philadelphia Phillies entered Saturday with an MLB’s worst record, and it doesn’t seem things will get better anytime soon.

Saturday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers included perhaps the Phillies’ most embarrassing play of the season. The Phillies had Ryan Braun picked off first base, but first baseman Tommy Joseph then threw the ball into left field… and then that throw rolled under left fielder Howie Kendrick’s glove. This resulted in the ball rolling all the way to track, and Braun jogging home.

This is a serious contender for the most hilarious/embarrassing play of the 2017 MLB season, and perfectly summarizes how things have gone for the Phillies:

Believe it or not, the Phillies actually came back from a seven-run deficit to tie this game 8-8, but ultimately lost 9-8.
