Cameron Maybin was greeted with a special surprise by his fellow Los Angeles Angels teammates in celebration his 30th birthday: Shaving cream and baby powder.
The Angels outfielder posted a video to Instagram on Thursday of teammates showering him with toiletries while joyfully singing happy birthday.

It’s quite a sweet gesture. Not the present I’d ask for, but yeah.
It’s Maybin’s first season in Los Angeles, so it’s nice to see his teammates welcome him with open arms. Although I must admit, I feel bad for the cleaning staff after this one. It appears the Angels doused Maybin in the team showers, so hopefully, the baby powder and shaving cream can be rinsed off, for everyone’s sake.
On a side note, Maybin is already 30? Suddenly, I feel very old. I remember when he was just a young whippersnapper as a top prospect for the Detroit Tigers. Maybin’s been in the show for nearly a decade. Time truly does fly.
Let’s see if the birthday shower helps Maybin and the Angels capture their third win of the year as they face off against the Oakland Athletics this afternoon. Who knows? Team bonding could be the key ingredient to the Angels having an OK season.
