What do you do when you’re on the verge of winning the World Series for a franchise that has not won one in decades? Well, it depends on who you ask.

For Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona, sleep is not one of those things that comes easy when the adrenaline of a Game 4 victory is still pumping through your veins. Francona dealt with a restless night, as many do, by treating himself to a late-night snack. When insomnia strikes most of us, we only have our own fridges to come to our aid. But when you’re staying in one of the nicest hotels in the nation’s third-largest city, the room service menu can serve as wonderful relief, but it’s also easy to go a little overboard.

I doubt Francona is sweating the bill, but he might regret the sheer amount of damage he did to his diet. The details of the $44 purchase are pretty incredible.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Cubs are in dire straights but they are not done quite yet. Manager Joe Madden also indulged his own junk food cravings following the 7-2 loss. His treat of choice? Pizza shared with his 83-year-old mother.

The two clubs play Game 5 on Sunday night, in which the Indians could clinch their first World Series since 1948. Should Cleveland win, my guess is ice cream won’t be the only empty calories Francona will ingest that night.
