Just last year, shortstop Dansby Swanson was the first overall pick in the MLB Draft, and a year later, he’s already hit a homer at the major-league level. Making the moment even more fun… it was an inside-the-park homer for Swanson.

Watch Swanson crush a Gio Gonzalez pitch off the center field wall at Nationals Park, and then speed around the bases for an inside-the-parker:

Swanson made it around the bases in just 14.97 seconds, which is the fastest time an MLB player has gotten around the bases for a homer this season:

The Braves of course got Swanson, as well as very good center fielder Ender Inciarte (currently has a terrific 3.1 WAR per FanGraphs), in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks over the offseason for Shelby Miller. The same Shelby Miller that has a 6.85 ERA in the majors this season and spent much of the year in Triple-A. The Braves were viewed as huge winners of that trade when it happened… and now it just looks like complete robbery.
