Vin Scully

Is there anything Vin Scully can’t do? No. The answer is no. He can do it all behind the microphone, like drop in an anecdote from decades past on a whim as he is calling the action from Dodger Stadium. As if you need another example of how brilliant Scully is, he had another masterful story to share while doing play-by-play, this time dropping a story about The Beatles in seamless fashion.

Sunday was the 50th anniversary of when The Beatles performed at Dodger Stadium, so Vin Scully dipped into his bountiful memory bank to recite a story about The Beatles and their departure from Dodger Stadium.

While recalling the sequence of events that saw The Beatles try to work their way through frenzied fans clinging to the car transporting the legendary British rock stars, Scully managed to keep the play-by-play updated without skipping a beat.

It’s as beautiful as it is genuine.

Man, we are all going to miss story time with Scully, aren’t we?
