St. Louis Cardinals right fielder Stephen Piscotty ran a long way to make a fantastic diving catch in foul territory on Thursday afternoon at Busch Stadium. And it was in a big spot too, as the Phillies had two on with no outs in the ninth, trying to rally from a 4-0 deficit.
Here’s video of Piscotty’s tremendous play:

Great job to hang on to the ball while faceplanting into the dirt, too.
That play seemed to kill the Phillies’ rally, as the Cardinals held on to the 4-0 shutout. After the game, Piscotty talked about his web gem, as well as a two-run double he hit in the seventh:
“Pitchers love the catch.” Piscotty not only knocked in two runs, but had a clutch ninth-inning catch. #STLCardshttps://t.co/shy2A8qhJ1
