Robbing a home run is never a bad thing for an outfielder. The fans love you, your teammates thank you and you’re likely a sure-fire SportsCenter highlight.

Such was the case for Houston Astros rightfielder George Springer, who robbed Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu of a home run in the first inning of their affair on the South Side of Chicago.

Then again, it could’ve also been a SportsCenter highlight reel for the “Not Top 10” had he not robbed the homer, thanks to about the longest and loopiest route to the ball ever taken.

For Houston, it was about the only highlight of the night, as they couldn’t figure out White Sox ace Chris Sale (who tossed a complete game), in a 2-1 loss.
