It’s quite common to see fans embarrass themselves slightly when a foul ball is hit their way at a Major League Baseball game. But one fan at Wednesday’s Pittsburgh Pirates-San Diego Padres game managed to take the embarrassment to a whole other level.

While reaching back to pick up an errant foul ball at Wednesday’s game, this fan decided to test his balancing skills while handling a plate of nachos and a Miller Lite. The result was a plate of nachos to the face, a flying beer can and no foul ball.

Let’s break down this embarrassment for a minute. First, wearing a plain white t-shirt was not this guy’s best move to begin with. Between ketchup, mustard and nacho cheese, spilling on your clothing is almost a given for those eating at a baseball game.

Second, trying to balance a plate and a can while going for a foul ball that is headed behind you is already a recipe for disaster. The nachos landing directly on the guy is bad luck, but in some cases, you make your own luck.

Kudos this guy for trying to catch the foul ball. But next time, this guy might just want to stay in his seat and not become a subject of another viral video.
