Balancing both Hollywood and MMA, Ronda Rousey is one of the most compelling athletes of the 21st century. You never know when or where she is going to show up. Once immortal in the octagon, Rousey has taken a long hiatus from fighting and has starred in a plethora of movies.

Does she even want to return to fighting? According to her trainer, it could be coming sooner rather than later.

Edmond Tarverdyan informed ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne that there have been talks regarding her fighting in one of UFC’s two year-end events. UFC 206 will be on Dec. 10 in Toronto, while UFC 207 is set for Las Vegas on Dec. 30. According to Fox Sports, Rousey has been offered a match against Amanda Nunes, the current bantamweight champion.

Rousey famously lost to Holly Holm last November against seemingly all odds. Since the loss, Rousey hasn’t stepped back into the octagon since, and a return to the sport could mean record PPV buys for Dana White and Company.

As of right now, though, nothing is set in stone. Tarverdyan said to Shelbourne, “There have been talks about her coming back (Dec. 30), but we haven’t made a final decision yet. There’s a chance she fights to get her belt back this year, but nothing is set yet. If we do make a comeback this year, we will. If not we will make it next year. We want to thank all our fans for being patient.”

If you had any thought that Rousey would come back a bit earlier, Tarverdyan put those thoughts to rest.

“When she does come back, we promise the best Ronda Rousey that anyone has ever seen.”

If that’s the case, the world is in for a treat.
