You probably had no idea that there was a UFC show this morning, live from Singapore. The main event saw Holly Holm, former women’s bantamweight champion and the slayer of Ronda Rousey, take on Bethe Correia, who Rousey knocked out in 34 seconds two summers ago in the fight before her loss to Holm.

Each woman desperately needed a win – Holm hadn’t won since beating Rousey, while Correia had won just once since her loss to Rousey.

A minute into the third round, Correia began to taunt Holm. That wasn’t the best idea, because just seconds later, Holm connected with a head kick reminiscent of the one she landed on Rousey to win the title.

With the win, Holm improved to 11-3, while Correia fell to 10-3-1 with the loss. Maybe next time, Correia will keep her hands up and remember that this isn’t a boxing match and that kicks are allowed.
