To anybody considering making a social media bet, just remember that Twitter is a powerful force.
A Sacramento Kings fan tweeted last Friday that his wife would let them name their first child DeMarcus Cousins if he got 25,000 retweets. Well…
My wife said if I get 25k Retweets, we can name our first child DeMarcus Cousins. Lets make it happen. #NBAVote

Ivan Jauregui has only 261 followers, but the tweet went viral and has nearly 26,000 retweets as of late Thursday night thanks to some help from former Kings guard Doug Christie, Bleacher Report, radio and TV stations, and even the Kings’ official Twitter and Boogie himself.
Let's get it done, Kings fans! https://t.co/uZwZc9jlZX

It’s no wonder Cousins retweeted it, as every time the hashtag #NBAVote gets sent it gives the Sacramento big man another All-Star game starter vote.
Jauregui also said regardless of gender, DeMarcus Cousins will be the child’s name.
That's why I said first child, no matter the gender I'm naming it DeMarcus Cousins. #NBAVote https://t.co/KjN2cfYusK
