Thursday night is a big, big night for the Philadelphia 76ers. They are drafting the future of their franchise in Ben Simmons, who is their first No. 1 overall pick since 1996 when they selected —of course— Allen Iverson.

Iverson was speaking with ESPN’s Kevin Neghandi at draft night, and dropped a great impersonation of the LeBron James kid for the camera. The Cauldron did a good job of mashing it up with the actual audio from the kid himself:

And yes, that’s a sweet Moses Malone/Darryl Dawkins shirt that Iverson has on in his interview. Iverson is going full-Sixers tonight. He expressed his love for Philly in his interview, and he, along with the rest of the city, are hoping that tonight starts the turnaround that the franchise needs.

Fans are really getting creative, and are obviously excited for tonight’s draft:

The Ben Simmons pick is the first move for the Sixers tonight, but don’t be surprised if they continue to make moves as the offseason progresses.

If the Sixers are lucky, Simmons will be able to lead their franchise to some great seasons just as The Answer did for them for so many seasons. Tonight will surely be a historical night for the franchise.
