New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis was diagnosed with a concussion after knocking heads with the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic during Friday night’s game at Pepsi Center.

Davis was guarding Jokic in the third quarter at the three-point line when Jokic tried a spin move on Davis and the two collided heads. After being down on the ground for several seconds, a dazed Davis got up and started walking around before the Pelicans wisely had him exit the game. He was taken to the locker room and diagnosed with a concussion.

It was a totally inadvertent, unfortunate play as you can tell by the videos:

What makes this even scarier is it’s already the third concussion of the 24-year-old’s career. This has to be a big concern going forward for one of the game’s best players and his long term well being.
