13-year NBA veteran Boris Diaw is a very interesting dude. Sports Illustrated even wrote an article in July of 2015 calling him the “NBA’s most interesting man”. Another very (very, very very) interesting dude, Bill Walton, was all over this years ago when providing color commentary for a Lakers-Suns game on ESPN, as Walton called Diaw a “classic human being” and said how Diaw reminded him of Beethoven and the age of Romanticism:

(I’ve been waiting years to work that video into a post)

Well, we learned in January that Diaw enjoys coffee so much, he put an espresso machine in his locker, and it even led to the nickname “Borista” (via San Antonio Express-News):

For a self-described coffee connoisseur, who not long ago traveled to Colombia to sample some the world’s finest, swallowing that weak, tepid stuff was akin to being waterboarded with Folgers crystals.

Salvation arrived a few weeks ago in a cardboard box. Diaw now has a working espresso machine in his locker, complete with tiny cups and saucers, so he can sip his java with a teaspoon of class.

Diaw’s installation of a locker room espresso machine has given rise to a new moniker: The Borista.

Still undefeated at home and an espresso, What else ? #nespresso #coffeetime #borista

While that was neat and interesting, this photo of another place the Utah Jazz forward has apparently taken his espresso machine is far more neat and interesting: The Grand Canyon at sunrise.

#TBT one of the best place to drink an espresso at sunrise. #whatelse A photo posted by Borisdiaw (@diawboris) on

That’s hard to top. Then again, Diaw has said that he would like to go to space in the next 30 years, so maybe the Grand Canyon will indeed be topped. “Boris Diaw takes his espresso machine to space” sounds like an amazing 10-episode Netflix series one day.
