Game 7 tickets for the NBA Finals matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers are already making waves when it comes to ticket prices. Stubhub, who just set record ticket prices for the highly anticipated matchup, have proven that most fans are willing to give a pretty penny to sit courtside for what will be a historic moment in sports regardless of the victor.

For those looking for a better deal will still be hard pressed, as the cheapest courtside tickets for Game 7 to be found are still in the neighborhood of $40,000.

Yes, the $38,344 price tag is, by comparison, a “steal” toward some of those living in Silicon Valley who have the money to do this. It also indicates the kind of financial impact Game 7s can have, particularly when it comes to the Finals. For those conspiracy theorists out there, the television networks, the league, and ticket vendors certainly got their wish.
