DeMarcus Cousins will face off against the Sacramento Kings, his former team, for the first time on Friday night.
During a pregame interview on Thursday, Cousins refused to give his former teammates any bulletin board material, repeating the same answer over and over to all questions he was asked about playing his former team.

Okay, so “go in, play hard, try to get a win” doesn’t roll off the tongue like “I’m just here so I won’t get fined,” but it’s still a great line.
Cousins knew exactly what he was doing, and credit the reporters for playing along for a little bit before changing the line of questioning to get other answers out of Cousins.
In 14 games since the trade, Cousins is averaging 22.9 points and 11.9 rebounds with the Pelicans. Both marks are second on the team to Anthony Davis, who is putting up 27.9 points and 12.0 boards per game. The trade hasn’t worked as expected for New Orleans, as they sit in tenth place in the Western Conference going into play Thursday, 4.5 games back of the Portland Trail Blazers for the eighth playoff spot in the West with just seven games to play.
