Dirk Nowitzki is currently going off against the Los Angeles Lakers, with 25 points (9-of-12 from the field) at halftime.
Oh, and in this game, he became the sixth player in NBA history to score 30,000 points. The 38-year-old German joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant in the elite club. Kind of a big deal.
Here’s video of his fadeaway jumper — a very fitting Dirk shot — to reach the 30k club, as well as the on-court celebration — which included Mark Cuban going nuts — that followed:

Dirk needed 20 points tonight to reach 30,000.
He did it in 13 minutes.
🐐.

Dirk has 25 points in 15 minutes. His season-high is 26. Hell of a way to make history for the old man.

An awesome moment for a player that has revolutionized the power forward position.
As The Athletic’s Sean Highkin put it, who doesn’t like Dirk?
