Mia Khalifa hit Joel Embiid where it hurts, and Embiid responded with… well, something.
This fun little feud started when Embiid posted a photograph of him and 76ers teammates Ben Simmons and Nerlens Noel with Philly rapper Meek Mill.
Enter Khalifa, an adult film actress with a history of insulting athletes. You see, the Sixers lose a lot of basketball games, and Meek Mill loses a lot of rap beefs, and Khalifa made note of this shared history of losing with a post of her own, captioned “Room full of L’s.”

Embiid apparently saw this (admittedly gratuitous) shot at him and his teammates, and he wasn’t pleased. No one wants to be known as a loser, after all.

Leaving aside the woman/women issue, there appear to be two layers to Embiid’s comeback:
1. Mia Khalifa has sex with a lot of men.
2. “D” is, like “L,” a letter of the alphabet (This is the part that theoretically makes this a joke, not just an insult).
The first part of the dis fails because 1) Slut shaming is bad, and 2) When it’s literally your job to have sex with a lot of men, you’re probably not offended when someone tells you you have sex with a lot of men.
The second part of the joke fails because it is not clever.
So once again, Embiid walks away with the L.
