If you had to name the two athletes on Earth most prone to bluster and trash talk, you could do worse than Draymond Green and Conor McGregor.
So we probably should be not the least bit surprised that the Warriors forward and the UFC fighter spent their Sunday morning sparring on Instagram.
The feud began when Green posted a photo of McGregor wearing a No. 23 Warriors jersey (Green wears No. 23) and proclaimed that he and his teammates were rooting against the MMA fighter in his upcoming bout against Floyd Mayweather. Green tagged McGregor and instructed him to, “take that off bruh.”
Well McGregor was well prepared to clap back, and he quickly roasted Green with a perfectly condescending response.

Every Instagram beef should involve someone saying, “stay in school.” That’s about as dismissive as it gets.
Green did his best to retort, but there was no recovering. If your best response is listing your resume and calling someone a bum, you have probably already lost.

What Green apparently missed was that McGregor was truly not making a statement about basketball. He was trolling Mayweather over the fact that the boxer once accused his wife of cheating with Watson, leading him to assault her and land in prison on domestic violence charges.
Wow. I just realized that Conor is rocking a C.J. Watson jersey because that's who Floyd caught his wife texting… that's supreme trolling

According to court records, Floyd was angry that his girl was text Watson. And he hit her. Floyd went to jail for that.

So, to recap, McGregor attempted to troll Mayweather in a characteristically crass and brutal way, Green inserted himself without knowing what was going on and McGregor swatted him away like a fly.
This bout goes to McGregor by KO.
