Amidst all of the NBA free agency going on right now, here’s a bombshell about a player who won’t be signing with anyone. O.J Mayo has been banned from the league for violating the terms of the anti-drug program.

Under the league’s rules, Mayo will be able to apply for reinstatement to the league in two years.
The third overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves last played with the Milwaukee Bucks with whom he averaged 7.8 points per game last season in a campaign hampered by injury. After he tripped and fell down the stairs at his home, he had season-ending surgery after playing 41 games for the Bucks.
In 2011, he served a ten-game suspension over performance-enhancing drugs.
The 28-year-old Mayo averaged 13.8 points, 2.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game across his career.
