Ray Allen last played in the NBA in 2014 and is the league’s all-time three-point scorer. Despite sitting out all of the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons, Allen is thinking about a comeback.

To nobody’s surprise, the greatest three-point shooter of all-time is thinking about a comeback with possibly the greatest three-point shooting team of all-time. The Golden State Warriors.

If Allen still has the same shot and can be as consistent as he was his last couple years as a veteran off the bench, that team would be unfair from beyond the arc, not that they aren’t already.

Allen shot 40% from three and 18.9 points per game over the course of his 19-year career. The veteran shot 40% or better from three in three of his last four seasons. On top of that, Allen’s best season statistically from three was when he shot 45% from beyond the arc during the 2011-2012 season with Boston. However, Allen dealt with injuries and only played in 46 games that season.

Nothing is for certain either. Allen will turn 41 on July 20th and isn’t completely sure he wants to return at all. However, if he does return it’ll probably be for a title contender. ESPN’s Chris Broussard is reporting Allen would consider playing for the Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Allen never officially retired from basketball after the 2013-2014 season with Miami. He’s won the title twice, once in 2008 with Boston and again in 2013 with Miami.
