If you thought moves during the NBA offseason were over, you have been mistaken.
It’s not a huge move, but the Milwaukee Bucks are in “advanced discussions” to sign Jason Terry, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.

Terry — who spent the last two seasons with the Houston Rockets — would add some veteran leadership to a team that had tons of young talent. The team recently signed Matthew Dellavedova during the offseason to add depth to the point guard position, as the team hasn’t been enamored with Michael Carter-Williams.
Terry is 38, and definitely not the player he used to be, but you have to imagine that he can help younger guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, and now Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon, grow into the NBA game. The pieces are definitely there, but Terry will serve as a great mentor having been through a 17-year NBA career.
The move also makes sense when you consider head coach Jason Kidd and Terry played together on the Dallas Mavericks’ championship team in 2011. Surely Kidd will try to use Terry as an extension of himself out on the floor, which is a tactic we have seen in the NBA before.
