The Sixers could not Trust The Process at the end of Friday’s game against the Blazers with Joel Embiid sidelined by a leg injury. Instead they resorted to trusting a long, contested three-pointer.

Robert Covington nailed the game-winner from well beyond the arc with 4.5 seconds left and a hand in his face:

Just look at how happy Embiid is. And he has good reason to be.

With the Bulls getting rocked by the Hawks on Friday night, the 76ers will move within 4.5 games of the No. 8 seed in the East. At 15-26, Philadelphia is three victories shy of last season’s win total, and it ain’t even February yet.
