In the third quarter of the Thunder-Warriors game on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena, Russell Westbrook basically just walked halfway down the court without dribbling.
You may think I’m exaggerating, but look at this:
The laughter from ESPN’s Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen says it all.
The broadcast actually missed the traveling live, but did catch Kevin Durant’s awesome reaction to his former teammate’s bizarre/hilarious play:
It was an eventful night for Westbrook, who also took a hit from Zaza Pachulia, and Pachulia then stood over the OKC star (and none of his Thunder teammates came to defend him). But, it wasn’t all bad for Westbrook on the night, as he put together his NBA-best 21st (!) triple-double with 27 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists. Well, technically it was a quadruple-double… as he had 10 turnovers, with that travel of course being the most notable one.
He did throw down this vicious dunk, though, which showed off his “nuclear athleticism” as Breen beautifully put it:
UPDATE- After the game, Westbrook was very descriptive on the traveling violation:
Westbrook on what happened with his traveling violation in the third quarter: "Travel."

He also said that he and Durant are not on speaking terms:
