With the Golden State Warriors on the verge of an NBA championship, fans are breaking open the checkbook just to get in the building for what could be a clincher in Game 5. One person has reportedly purchased two floor tickets at an astounding $133,000 through the Warriors’ Ticketmaster resale site.

Darren Rovell of ESPN reports the tickets are believed to be the most expensive in NBA history at $116,000. That sounds pretty legitimate considering the previous tall orders have racked up a bill of $90,000 and $82,000. The face value of a courtside ticket is $3,000 and the resale value has been averaging $1,731. So yeah, these seats for a combined $133,000 are insane.

And because this was through Ticketmaster, you know the fees tacked on are going to be insane. And boy were they! Whoever purchased the tickets paid a whopping $17,000 in fees for the tickets. Those fees are factored into the total purchase price at a 15 percent charge. But when you are spending $116,000 to get in the door, what’s another $17,000, right?

It must be nice to have that kind of money to drop on a game. For that wealthy fan’s sake, here’s hoping their favorite team wins tonight. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter how rich you may be. That’s not an easy pill to swallow.
