Thursday saw some weird sports and politics crossover, with the Republican Party’s proposed tax plan mentioning Golden State Warriors’ star Steph Curry by name as an unfavorable example of “individual wage income” as compared to the “pass-through business income of Steve’s Bike Shop.” This led to Curry cracking wise about it on Twitter, and eventually posting a photo of his application to work at “Steve Kerr’s Bike Shop”:

It’s curious that Curry was named in this, and was the only person named in the plan. Maybe that had something to do with the Warriors’ hesitation to accept a visit to the White House, which led to President Donald Trump tweeting that their invitation was revoked and singling out Curry? In any case, it led to an odd junction of sports and politics, but it also let Curry have some fun.
