James Harden Mean Tweets

It’s hard to have made it this far in this day and age to have not seen some version of Jimmy Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets” skit. Sometimes he has celebrities read them, other times Kimmel enlists politicians, and occasionally the late night host brings in athletes. This week Kimmel did his 5th NBA version and it didn’t disappoint.

Without further ado, the 5th edition of Jimmy Kimmel’s NBA Mean Tweets:

And now, here is my unofficial ranking and analysis of the 5 best “Mean Tweets” shown during the skit:

#5 – DeAndre Jordan:

The actual tweet for your engagement:

Grade: B-

Explanation: This tweet showed a lot of creativity when I first watched the video, but then the tweets kept getting better and better causing this tweet to slide down to a B-. The other reason why this one was a B- is due to the fact that Jordan didn’t have a game the day Matt tweeted this insult. The day before the tweet, Jordan was 7-15 from the line, so why didn’t Matt tweet it then?

#4 – Walt Frazier:

The actual tweet for your engagement:

Grade: B-

Explanation: This tweet received a B- too, but is ranked higher than the Jordan one simply because of the uniqueness. Typically when people go after Frazier, I feel like they go after his suits and style. Marcello’s ability to go after something different about Frazier is what stands out.

#3 – Joel Embiid:

We sadly can’t provide you with the actual tweet for your engagement as the username is partially blurred out.

Grade: B

Explanation: I’m giving this one a B partially because of my terrific screenshot. Outside of that, I found it interesting how the tweeter attacked Embiid’s IQ and not the fact that he is consistently injured. On top of that, kudos to the tweeter for saying Embiid has the same IQ as a squirrel instead of a dumb or pointless small animal such as an ant.

#2 – James Harden:

We sadly can’t provide you with the actual tweet for your engagement as the username is partially blurred out.

Grade: A-

Explanation: A lot of people go after Harden’s beard, but you rarely see people compare his beard to Moses or any other famous Israelite. As a result, this tweeter gets an A- because of the unique comparison of beards and for having the guts to say that about Harden. Additionally, the tweeter gets points for perfect grammar.

#1 – Karl Malone:

We sadly can’t provide you with the actual tweet for your engagement as the tweet was never shown.

Grade: A+

Explanation: Oh the tweeter doesn’t get this grade, instead Malone does and this may be a cop out. However, Malone gets this grade because he didn’t want to read it out loud and instead gave the camera one heck of a judgement face.
