NBA players, led by Kevin Durant, are always campaigning to get to vote for stuff. They started their own postseason awards to rival the official ones, and they talked their way into getting a say in All-Star voting this year.
Well, sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for.
Ever-personable Grizzlies guard Tony Allen cast his All-Star ballot live on Periscope on Monday, and some of his selections were a bit… unusual.
Among others, Allen voted for Luke Babbitt (4.3 points per games), Michael Beasley (8.2 ppg), Mo Williams (8.2 ppg), James Ennis (8 ppg) and himself (9.9 ppg). Other highlights of his voting process include him mispronouncing “Dellavedova,” dissing Jerryd Bayless for no reason and struggling greatly with the online system. The entire video is hilarious.

In case you didn’t follow, here’s Tony Allen’s complete All-Star Game ballot:
Eastern Conference:
G – Kemba Walker
G – Mo Williams
F – Luke Babbitt
F – Michael Beasley
C – Andre Drummond
Western Conference:
G – Mike Conley
G – Tony Allen
F – James Ennis
F – Zach Randolph
C – Marc Gasol.
Yes, his Western Conference lineup was made up exclusively of Memphis Grizzlies players. The fans are taking some heat for giving thousands of votes to Zaza Pachulia, but are we sure the players will do better?
The All-Star Game this year could be a whole lot of fun.
