Sometimes, there comes along a story that warms your heart and reminds you that there is a good side to humanity that doesn’t get covered very often. Here we have one of them, and it’s pretty awesome.

Hector Montez, a student in Lubbock, Texas knew that one of his teachers loved a certain pair of Air Jordan shoes. As the teacher, Thomas Walser, was also a coach of his, Montez knew that there must be a way to give back to him for all that he had done for him. So, he did this:

He bought his coach that pair of MJ’s (the Air Jordan 12’s) he always wanted. How cool is that? And Twitter also thinks it’s really cool, because it’s hit nearly 73,000 retweets and 120,000 likes.

And Walser is probably the happiest human being alive now that he has his shoes:

Walser tweeted out he’s wanted these shoes since he was a kid:

Remember, there are some great teachers and coaches working in schools around the country that don’t get the credit they deserve, and there are some truly wonderful kids that they teach and leave a lasting mark on. This story is proof positive of that.

Hopefully, this story just made your day.
