J.R. Smith had the internet rolling Tuesday after he decided to go over and hug Jason Terry during Tuesday’s game between Smith’s Cleveland Cavaliers and Terry’s Milwaukee Bucks.
Here’s the play in case you missed it:

With these antics picking up steam, there was no doubt Smith would be asked about it after the game. After listening to his answer, it seems like it was simply Smith being himself:

There is a lot to digest here. First off, why is he wearing a face covering. Maybe it’s so people can’t see his entire face after that screw-up.
Then, there’s his answer. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHETHER YOU’RE IN THE GAME? I get it’s an early-season game that likely won’t matter in the end, but still.
It also didn’t help Smith’s cause that the Cavs got beat by double digits on Tuesday.
With all of this going on, the internet was spot on once again in having fun with the Cavaliers guard.

That tweet is just gold, unlike Smith’s effort on that play. Knowing this, it seems likely that other teams might send out players to chat it up with Smith while play is going on.
