Being the son of soon-to-be Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, Shareef O’Neal was playing basketball with a lot of expectations as a high school sophomore.

After seeing a video Shareef posted Tuesday, it’s easy to see he’s living up to expectations.

Shareef — like his dad — is a beast, already listed at 6-foot-9 and 204 pounds. He plays high school basketball in Los Angeles and has already received offers from schools such as UCLA, Arizona and LSU — his father’s alma mater. He’s on his way to catching up to his father in the height category.

As Shareef continues to age and pick up national interest, his college decision will likely become a national headline. Shaq is on record saying that he would like to see his son play at LSU. It makes sense, based on the fact Shaq said in that same interview that he was well-paid during his time with the Tigers.

LSU fans can only hope the younger O’Neal decides to take his talents to Baton Rouge and play half as well as Shaq did.
