It has been some tough times for Carmelo Anthony these past couple of weeks. Whether it is trade rumors or signs of discontent, the news hasn’t been very good for the New York Knicks forward.

Things weren’t much better for him on Saturday night as he missed a game-winning three point shot against the Phoenix Suns. The nice part about it though? He had a lot of people there to tell him it was going to be okay. One of the people giving him support was head coach Jeff Hornacek, the other being a random fan giving him a pat on the back. Backing up and sitting on the scorers table, he must have felt lonely, well as any fanatic knows, they can’t leave their superstar in the lurch.

As the barrier between fans and athletes gets bigger, this was an oddly tender moment. Superstar athlete is visibly down in the dumps and this fan just wanted him to know that it was going to be okay.

Anthony and the Knicks are influx right now, not much clarity is being given. The one, unchanging fact for them though? Their fans won’t ever stop caring. It isn’t much to fall back on, but seeing moments like these can make someone a tiny bit sentimental.
