Clemson — the ACC champion — clinched the second spot in the championship game by demolishing Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, 31-0. Alabama edged Clemson in the championship game a year ago, winning by a score of 45-40. This will be the first true college football national championship rematch at the FBS level since the dawn of the BCS era in 1998.
According to Team Rankings, Alabama is 10-4 against the spread this season. Clemson is 7-7 so far this season.
