The stage is set for the College Football Playoff National Championship game, and defending national champion Alabama is set to be a considerable favorite against Clemson in the championship game rematch. Multiple insiders from the world of sports gambling have come out and let it be known the Crimson Tide are a touchdown favorite over the Tigers:

RJ Bell actually put out an eight-point spread in favor of the Crimson Tide at first, but he later updated that number to seven:

Alabama dismantled Pac-12 champion Washington in the Peach Bowl in the first College Football Playoff semifinal on Saturday afternoon, 24-7. Clemson — the ACC champion — clinched the second spot in the championship game by demolishing Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, 31-0. Alabama edged Clemson in the championship game a year ago, winning by a score of 45-40. This will be the first true college football national championship rematch at the FBS level since the dawn of the BCS era in 1998.

According to Team Rankings, Alabama is 10-4 against the spread this season. Clemson is 7-7 so far this season.
