Last week, Minnesota’s Antoine Winfield Jr. had one of the most amazing punt returns we’ll see in college football this season. The son of former NFL star cornerback Antoine Winfield Sr. returned the punt for a 76-yard touchdown against New Mexico State.

This week, Winfield didn’t score a touchdown, but he made another unbelievable play. And it was a game-saver.

It appeared that Fresno State had a game-tying (assuming the extra point) touchdown with 1:20 to go in the fourth quarter, when Winfield came out of nowhere to make an absolutely absurd interception in the back of the end zone.

That’s certainly an Interception of the Year contender and will be tough to top.

The Golden Gophers were able to kneel down and run out the clock on the ensuing two plays to come away with a 21-14 victory.
