Auburn athletics photographer Ashley Ward was probably not expecting to be the center of attention during the Auburn-LSU football game on Saturday night, and had she known why she’d be the center of attention, she probably wouldn’t want to be.
Ward was a few feet behind the back of the end zone, and tried to catch a kick-off from a kneeling position. The results… weren’t great.
Ouch. She lays there for a startling amount of time. It shouldn’t be funny but the entirety of the clip is so bizarre, you can’t help but laugh.
She posted onto twitter that she was taking it all in stride.
I'm good tho https://t.co/q85Fsy2WXk

She’s even been interviewed by the news already:

We’re glad that she ended up okay — and has a sense of humor about it — after taking the football to the face so gracefully.
UPDATE: Someone posted a video on Twitter that has an up-close angle of Ward getting hit in the face. You realize she’s even luckier to be okay after you see this!
Got sent the best angle of it. Seriously someone needs to make sure she’s ok. (Source: Colin Edwards) PS: no this is not me. pic.twitter.com/NAcCsLC8qr
