The Northwestern Wildcats just came with a 17-10 overtime victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Big Ten play, but were trailing 7-0 in the third quarter when punter Hunter Niswander crushed an 80-yard punt that was downed at Iowa’s three-yard line.

You know if we’re doing a post on a punt that it has to be an incredible one, and this certainly was:

That’s how you flip field position. And after Iowa punted five plays later, Northwestern put together their first touchdown drive to tie the game 7-7.

The game would go into overtime, and Northwestern scored a touchdown on a quarterback sneak from Clayton Thorson. On the ensuing drive, Iowa’s Noah Fant had a brutal drop on 4th-and-3 to end the game.
