It can’t be overstated how impactful September 11th, 2001 was to everyone in America. Far and wide, people were affected and it has made for a completely different country. Many heroes have been honored from that day, and Boston College has decided to remember one of their own in their upcoming football game against the Clemson Tigers.

Welles Crowther saved almost a dozen people on 9/11 by trying to get people to exit the south tower. Crowther was known as “The Man with the Red Bandana” because of his signature look around campus. He was a member of the Boston College lacrosse team and was wearing his red bandana when he passed.

The jerseys that the Eagles will wear during the game are inspired by Crowther’s bandana. The school will also hand out thousands of bandanas during the game, and Crowther’s family will be in attendance.

As far as moving moments go, I bet you won’t see a dry eye on campus that day.
