College kids do dumb things. Drunk college kids do the dumbest things, like steal a sign from a delivery car and fall asleep on it in public.
Oklahoma State starting defensive end Cole Walterscheid did just this over the weekend, resulting in a charge of public intoxication. Police found Walterscheid sleeping in the grass on top of a removable Jimmy John’s delivery car sign around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. When a police officer started questioning Walterscheid about the Jimmy John’s sign, the intoxicated football player said he got the sign from work.
There’s just one problem – Walterscheid doesn’t work at Jimmy John’s.
This is why we can’t have nice things 👀 https://t.co/saaxHKsb0V

This all went down roughly 12 hours after Oklahoma State took care of TCU in a Big 12 game to help set the Cowboys to be in position to claim the Big 12 championship next week against rival Oklahoma. The winner of the annual Bedlam game will win the Big 12 crown for the 2016 season and could potentially sniff the College Football Playoff. Perhaps a postgame celebration went a little too far for Walterscheid.

Next time, place an order from Jimmy John’s to go and maybe they’ll give you the sign themselves.
